“To move forward, you have to give back.”

CyFair Women’s Network (CFWN) was formed in the 1980’s and has a rich history of creating partnerships with other like-minded women. Our founding members recognized that personal development is as essential to success as professional enrichment. Members build a strong referral network with one another by collaborating purposefully to leverage each member’s contacts, skills and resources.

CFWN Is unique from other networking organizations in our dedication to serving the Cy-Fair and surrounding communities. As individuals, we strongly believe in sharing our member talents to serve the greater good. Each member is connected to the community and serves in a variety of ways.

The group selects a local charity quarterly to sponsor through a monetary donation as well as hands-on service opportunities throughout the year.

Optional meet-ups in the form of socials, Coffee (or Tea!) with the President or workshops serve to strengthen our bonds and form lifelong friendships. Our meetings are held the first and third WEDNESDAY of every month from 11:45 AM to 1:30 PM deep in the heart of Cypress, TX at Longwood Golf Club. The cost for our lunches is $17 and payable by cash or credit card.

For the past decade, CyFair Women’s Network has partnered with Candlelighters (Childhood Cancer Family Alliance) for their ‘Adopt a Family for the Holidays’ Program. Through this program, CFWN members spread joy and celebrate the true meaning of the holidays by sponsoring a family facing childhood cancer.

In 2018, the CyFair Women’s Network Board voted to name this long-standing tradition The Cavenaugh Candlelighters after Legacy Member Valerie Cavenaugh – who has carried the torch of Christmas Hope to many families over the years. We are pleased to honor Valerie as we continue to share love and hope with with this annual tradition.

The mission of CyFair Women’s Network is to help business women develop contacts, grow their business and share their knowledge while making a difference in the community through service, advocacy and involvement.

After moving to Houston four years ago, I was encouraged to attend a meeting of the Cy-Fair Women’s Network and found a group of enthusiastic, authentic, utterly lovely ladies who not only want to expand their own endeavors but also sincerely want you to succeed in your business. The information I have gained through the informative speaker series has enabled me to move my business forward. I would encourage any small business owner to consider joining us!

“Over the years that I have been a member of CFWN, I’ve always felt perfectly comfortable referring a member to a friend, business associate or family member because I knew that CFWN members would do the best by their client.”

I have been a member of Cy-Fair Women’s Network since 1992. It has been a wonderful experience watching this organization of business women grow into a group of diverse, dedicated and awe-inspiring individuals. CFWN provides its members the opportunity to develop their business, network and contribute to the community. CFWN continues to grow, encourage and help each other be successful.
